What is mirror work?

It's about looking at yourself in the mirror. Without the critique. The mirror is a powerful tool if you know how to use it properly.

Saying positive affirmations to yourself whilst looking in the mirror may seem silly or self indulgent, however think of these affirmations as messages to your subconscious that establish habitual ways of thinking and behaving.

Positive affirmations plant healing thoughts and ideas that support you in developing self-confidence and self esteem, and creating peace of mind and inner joy. And the most powerful way to practice this is by saying them out loud and in front of a mirror.

Why on earth would we do this Well, the mirror reflects back to you the feelings you have about yourself. It makes you immediately aware of what thoughts you need to change if you want to have a joyous, fulfilling life. It's also an awesome way to practice gratitude. If you ask me, having a full functioning body is something to be grateful for!

For most of us, sitting in front of a mirror and facing ourselves is the shittest thing I could ask you to do. That's why it's called mirror work.

If you stick with it, you will become less self-critical, and the work turns into mirror play. Very soon your mirror becomes a bff instead of an enemy.
